Harris Brumfield is a veteran of the trading industry with more than 20 years of experience in the field. He spent one year as a runner and broker's assistant and ten years as a floor trader at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), then spent six years trading electronically. When Harris shifted from the pit to the screen, he selected Trading Technologies'   X_TRADER® platform as his front-end trading interface.

After using TT's software for more than a year, Harris was so excited by the results that he became an investor in TT. He has used his insight into the trading business to contribute to the design of many of the key features of TT's products, such as the industry-leading graphical user interface, MD Trader®.

Doug Duquette - EVP Development/CTO

Doug Duquette is a veteran electronic trader and developer of software and hardware technologies who leads product design and engineering efforts for Trading Technologies. Although his responsibilities are wide-ranging, he approaches his work with a simple goal: optimize system performance for the trader. Doug possesses a unique combination of deep technical skills and extensive electronic trading experience, which helps him understand, design and apply technology from the trader’s perspective. Doug has worked with virtually every commercially available futures trading platform and has designed proprietary trading systems, which he used daily in his own trading. He also has vast experience building, optimizing and maintaining a multi-exchange infrastructure.

Doug began building software after he started a mortgage lending operation in Boston. At the time, he was immersed in real estate brokerage, buying, renovating and selling. He developed the mortgage software system used for his company’s daily operations. While still running his mortgage firm, Doug began his trading career in the early 1990s, trading bond futures to hedge his mortgage pipeline. In 1995, he exited the mortgage industry and transitioned to become a full-time futures trader and system developer.  He created the first prototype of a new event-based graphical front-end system based on existing market data feeds. In 1998, he left Boston for Chicago and became a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). While trading CME products, Doug continued development of his proprietary trading systems and built connections to Eurex and the Chicago Board of Trade. He worked in this capacity until he joined TT in 2005 as a member of the company’s R&D team.

Doug attended the schools of Electrical Engineering and Economics at Northeastern University, Boston 1984-1988.
