We are seeking a Implementation Project Manager with direct experience and/or familiarity with Fixed Income in the financial markets to join our Product Management team. Trading requires a specific mindset as well as talents and, as such, this position requires a high degree of knowledge of the associated overall workflows.
This individual’s primary responsibility will be to work with Product Managers in defining how TT’s trading products can be used by market participants, engage with market participants to define additional features to further product adoption, prioritize these features, and collaborate with our engineering teams in a fast-paced and extremely collaborative, iterative, agile development-driven environment. 
A successfulImplementation Project Manager will be extremely inquisitive, and willing to ask probing questions in order to understand our end users, their business, and ways in which our software can be optimized to facilitate their needs. This individual will be able to clearly articulate those needs in both written and verbal communications. In addition, an ideal Implementation Project Managerwill have a strong understanding of technology and development practices that they will apply when working with our engineering teams to estimate timelines.

 

What Will You Be Involved With?
  • Assist the Product Manager in scoping and prioritizing software releases, individual user stories, enhancements and defects.
  • Understand customer objectives and translate them into specific business & software requirements, and then further transform those into detailed, functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Develop a thorough, end to end, understanding of TT’s trading products and be willing to teach and mentor others outside of the immediate group.
  • Effectively communicate with external customers and internal teams to deliver business cases, user guides, use-cases, white papers, release notes, training content, and marketing materials.
  • Remain current with industry / software advancements and relevant regulations.
  • Apply agile development standards to managing one or more feature backlogs and to leading sprint planning meetings and attending daily stand-ups.
  • Participate in design walk-throughs and in test planning to ensure that business objectives are being adequately met by the software that is being developed and tested.
What you can expect to learn within three months.
  • Proficiency with relevant processes required for Product Management at TT, including:
  • Epic management
  • Prioritization of work items based on dev team workload
  • Ticket handling processes
  • Reading and comprehension of the documentation for TT’s trading products in order to develop basic requirements
  • An understanding of the current state of TT’s trading products by analyzing the product backlog.
  • Review and confirm the completeness of detailed requirements for the next set of work to be taken on by engineering for one component of TT’s trading products.
  • Understanding of all of the TT Platform’s high level component teams (Prices, OC, TTW, etc.), as well as inter-team dependencies, in order to effectively generate requirements
What you can expect to be responsible for within six months.
  • Assigned product ownership of one of TT’s trading products, encompassing all of the duties listed in the Job Responsibilities section above.  In addition:
    • Create and maintain a product roadmap.
    • Create new and update existing product training material based on new features and functionality.  Train Support, Sales, and Customer Success.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for all inquiries.
    • Identify at-risk projects and work with the appropriate team members to ensure dates are not missed.
What you can expect to own and continually expand upon by the end of the first year.
  • Analyze existing / create new Domo reports to assess volume / revenue trends for the TT trading products to identify opportunities.  Engage with Sales to communicate relevant information.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all inquiries related to the features and functionality of TT’s trading products.
  • Take on product ownership of additional TT trading products and features.
  • Identify new opportunities for TT’s trading products as TT expands into additional markets and asset classes. 

 

What Will You Bring to the Table?

Good listening and interviewing skills – able to elicit customer requirements, take detailed notes, pose relevant questions, and understand big picture objectives.
  • Good critical judgment – able to distill important information into concise, effective summaries.
  • Experience in demonstrating leadership and guiding teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and project management skills
  • 5+ years of industry experience, likely to have been gained by working in a software-related role for a bank, hedge fund, trading firm, ISV, or financial exchange.
  • Experience with fixed income, options, or equities is a plus
