Robert Guest
Deputy Editor, The Economist
Robert Guest is Deputy Editor of The Economist. Previously he was the Foreign Editor and has reported from more than 100 countries and lived in six. He was previously the US Editor, leading the magazine’s American coverage, and the Business Editor. He has also served as its Washington correspondent, "Lexington" columnist and Africa Editor. A winner of numerous international awards, Robert constantly interviews political and business leaders and follows key developments from Brussels to Beijing and from Bangalore to the Bay Area. He also draws on the expertise of The Economist's global network of correspondents to keep abreast of the underlying trends that drive the news. In speeches, Robert discusses his thoughts on geopolitics and the global economy, illustrated with anecdotes and real-world examples from the dozen or so countries he visits each year. He may examine how geopolitics affects global supply chains, how American politics affects the rest of the world, or how the coming year's headlines might affect your industry. Before joining The Economist, Robert was the Tokyo correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, and prior to that he was based in South Korea. He is the author of The Shackled Continent, a book that tries to explain how Africa could become richer; and Borderless Economics: Chinese Sea Turtles, Indian Fridges, and the New Fruits of Global Capitalism, which describes how migration makes the world brainier.
Dr Kay Swinburne
Baroness Swinburne, UK House of Lords
Founder & CEO of FS Advisory firm providing Board level services to global FS clients. Chair of the Association of British Insurers.
Kay has had a successful career in financial services prior and post being elected to the European Parliament (2009-2019), As a leading EU legislator serving as Vice Chair of the Economics and Monetary Affairs Committee, she shaped EU and global financial services legislation.
On leaving elected office, Kay became Vice Chair of KPMG UK’s Financial Services practice and Chair of the EMA Risk & Regulatory Insight Centre. She is an active voice in the financial markets (former Chair IRSG) and has led special projects on financial regulation – including Fintech (Kalifa Review), UK competitiveness (CMIT) and capital market infrastructure (FCA advisory committee) as well as ESG issues.
Baroness Swinburne entered the House of Lords as a Peer and Government Whip (Baroness in Waiting) in June 2023 and served as a UK government minister.
Luke Anklesaria
Head of Market Making Technology, Marex
Luke Anklesaria is Head of Market Making Technology at Marex, where he leads the design and delivery of data-driven tools to optimise trading performance. His career has been shaped by electronic markets and automation: starting on UBS’s eTrading desk, then building FIX capabilities in an early role at Marex, and later leading Citi’s Electronic Execution Coverage team. At Citi, he partnered with clients deploying algorithms and advanced execution strategies. With deep expertise in automation, market structure, and transaction cost analysis, Luke focuses on advancing the intersection of trading, technology, and data. He also holds the Certificate in Quantitative Finance.
Ben Ashby
Chief Investment Officer, Henderson Rowe
Ben Ashby is the Chief Investment Officer of Henderson Rowe, the European subsidiary of Rayliant Global Advisors. Ben also serves as Head of Fixed Income for Rayliant itself.
Previously, Ben was a Managing Director with JPMorgan’s Chief Investment Office, which handles the Group’s own investments.
He is also a Director of the Centre for Financial History at the University of Cambridge, and he co-hosts the CFA UK’s “Future Proofing Finance” podcast.
Ben regularly appears in the media and has published articles for Bloomberg, Nikkei and Citywire, amongst others.

Jop Houwen
Chief Finance & Risk Officer, WEBB Traders
As a CFRO Jop oversees the finance, risk, legal & compliance, operations and HR departments of WEBB Traders, an Amsterdam and Paris based market maker in equities and equity derivatives. In his role Jop closely follows regulatory topics and is the owner of all risk types. In addition, within WEBB Traders he drives strategic topics like automation and dashboarding for trading/risk and finance purposes.
Prior to joining WEBB Traders Jop has worked in several trading, risk and finance roles at market makers like All Options and BlockTech and banks like ING and ABN AMRO. He studied at the University of Groningen, where he obtained an MSc in Finance degree in 2009.
Gary John-Baptiste

Gary John-Baptiste is the Global Head of Principal Trading Groups at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V., where he leads a global team focused on the commercial activities for this client group.
Prior to this role, Gary served as the Chief Commercial Officer of ABN AMRO Clearing in Asia Pacific, where he managed a diverse portfolio of asset classes, client groups, and products.
Gary's career in the banking industry spans more than 30 years, of which the last 20 years have been with ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V., in London, Asia and Amsterdam.
During this time Gary has held several senior positions in Prime Services, Commodities, Relationship Management, Business Development, Operations and is also a member of the ABN AMRO Clearing Global Digital Assets Board
Alex Mirarchi
Principal Capital Markets Specialist, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Alex Mirarchi is a Principal Capital Markets Industry Specialist at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Alex’s core focus is helping Global Exchanges and Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) firms transform their businesses with AWS. He leads AWS’s business development for FMIs, trading and connectivity in the cloud and also supports asset managers, investment banks, broker dealers, and fintechs in developing their cloud strategies. Alex joined AWS from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), where he was responsible for strategy and structuring programs and strategic partnerships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Prior to Oracle, Alex worked in capital markets, selling Asian Equities to Hedge Funds in London with HSBC and in New York with Macquarie Group. Alex also held front office roles in Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange and started his career in HSBC Global Asset Management’s alternative investments division in London. Alex holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is based in New York.
Andy Ross
Managing Director, Global Head of Prime & Financing, Standard Chartered Bank
Andy Ross is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in Prime Brokerage and Derivatives. As the Managing Director and Global Head of Prime and Financing at Standard Chartered, he is responsible for spearheading the global prime brokerage division, leveraging his deep expertise in the market.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered in 2022, Andy served as CEO of Curve Global, an interest rate derivative platform backed by esteemed market practitioners and the London Stock Exchange. His leadership at Curve Global was instrumental in driving innovation in the derivatives landscape.
Before his tenure at Curve Global, Andy was with Morgan Stanley for 18 years, where he held several key positions, including Managing Director, Global Head of Listed Electronic Execution, and European Head of Derivatives Clearing. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in June 1998 as an analyst in operations and steadily advanced through various roles, such as Counterparty Portfolio Management and running the XVA desk in Europe, before leaving in March 2016.
Andy is a recognized as an industry expert and has actively participated in key industry initiatives focusing on listed OTC derivatives, as well as counterparty risk management. He has served on CCP risk committees and various boards of industry associations, contributing his insights to enhance market practices.
Passionate about diversity and inclusion, Andy is a strong advocate for these values within the industry, and supports numerous initiatives aimed at promoting a more inclusive environment.
Based in London, Andy resides in Buckinghamshire, with his wife Sam, their daughter Lottie and his twin boys Elliott and Jackson.
Antonello Russo
Managing Director, Risk & Quantitative Analysis, BlackRock
Antonello Russo is a Managing Director with BlackRock’s Risk and Quantitative Analysis department.
Mr Russo is head of investment risk management for index strategies for EMEA and APAC. Over the course of his career at BlackRock, Antonello fulfilled risk leadership roles for Trading and Liquidity Strategies and Alternative Investments.
Before joining BlackRock, Mr Russo was Head of Investment Risk for Beazley plc. Earlier on, he worked at Deutsche Bank on the collateralized financing and prime brokerage sales desk.
Mr Russo holds a honour degree from Bocconi University in Milan, where he graduated in Monetary and Financial Economics.

Will founded Acuiti in February 2019 after 8 years at Euromoney Institutional Investor where he served as Editor and Publisher of FOW and oversaw the merger between FOW and Global Investor becoming managing director of the combined group in October 2016. Prior to joining FOW, he spent 18 months in Malawi where he founded the first magazine publishing company in the Northern Region of the country.

A seasoned leader with more than 30 years of experience across global financial institutions and the digital asset space. Sabrina currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at GFO-X, UK’s first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives.. Sabrina previously held global leadership positions in London and New York at J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Citi, where she served as Managing Director, Global Head of Futures, OTC Clearing, and FX Prime Brokerage, as well as Global Head of Listed Electronic Execution. More recently, she was Group Chief Operating Officer of Copper Technologies (UK) Ltd, a leading provider of digital asset custody services. Sabrina is also an experienced Board Member across the banking industry (NatWest Markets UK plc) and the FinTech sector.
