FIX: MaturityMonthYear Changes for ICE

New Date: October 29

Following up on our original announcement from August 26, TT continues to make changes to our Security Master database (PDS) to synchronize the month and year values displayed in the TT Trading GUI (PDS Alias field) with TT FIX tags 200, MaturityMonthYear, and 610, LegMaturityMonthYear values for all FIX order routing, drop copy, market data and security definition messages.

ICE Market supports this feature now in UAT, with production support scheduled for October 29, 2021.

PDS has introduced a new field, ContractDisplayDate, (CDD), which will contain the month & year values from the Alias field. PDS will be rolling out this change market-by-market. JPX, TOCOM and OSE markets currently support the new value in production. Support for PDS CDD in additional markets will be announced in future.

In TT FIX v158 & higher, when the PDS CDD field is present on an instrument, TT FIX will map CDD to tags 200 & 610 on all relevant inbound & outbound messages. When CDD is not present, the existing mapping to PDS Maturity Date will continue as currently implemented.

TT Platform Impact

Customers trading ICE contracts via FIX are strongly encouraged to test their applications in UAT prior to the October 29 rollout date to ensure integration with the new behavior. Contracts listed in PDS under ICE_L market will not be impacted. Please reach out to your TT Customer Representative or email [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

FIA: Industry-Wide Testing

October 23

The Futures Industry Association will sponsor its annual Industry-Wide Disaster Recovery Testing (IWT) on Saturday, October 23. We will facilitate customer participation for registered TT platform customers.

Testing is available on the following exchanges:

  • CFE
  • CME
  • Eurex
  • Euronext
  • ICE
  • Montréal Exchange
  • Nodal

Customers who plan to participate in the FIA IWT should contact their Onboarding Manager to register for testing and provide exchanges that will be tested along with Connection_IDs that will be used during the test.

Ping/telnet tests for CFE, CME and ICE exchanges will be completed by TT staff as required.

TT Platform Impact

We‘ve implemented the Mock Mode feature to support mock trading on the TT platform. Documentation on the use of Mock Mode, including proper use and limitations, is available here.

Of particular note for the FIA testing:

  • Log in to mock.trade.tt for testing.
  • Any Setup changes needed for a mock session must be made in Production (e.g., changes to IP and/or Port to connect to an exchange DR site). When a user clicks Setup while logged in to mock.trade.tt, they will be directed to the Production Setup database. It’s important to note that any changes made to Setup specifically for a mock session must be manually reverted after testing is complete if you don’t want to keep them in Production.
TT Support

Support during the FIA disaster recovery test will be available as during normal production hours. For assistance during testing, please submit feedback via the TT platform or contact TT Support:
