Release Notes

Explore key releases enhancing trade execution and management.
Settings- Sounds for Algo submitted/canceled orders
  • Currently, the sounds for “New” and “Cancel” orders play for both manual orders and orders by automated tools. We have now separated the order actions between manual and algo to allow you to be notified when one or the other occurs. To implement this, the current two sound settings have been renamed to reference manual actions, and we have added two new sound settings for algo actions.
Settings-  Increase number of custom action buttons
  • You can now configure up to fifty (50) custom action buttons on the Order Ticket and MD Trader. Previously the limit was twenty (20) buttons per widget.
OMS  Care order passing
  • We have extended our current OMS order passing ability to now include the ability to pass staged orders.

Upcoming

Order Book display Rejected orders for the current session
  • The Order Book and Orders and Fills widget (OFW) now display rejected orders for the current session. A new “Message” column can optionally be exposed that displays the same reject message text displayed in the Audit Trail. The Message column supports filtering/searching on the message text string. A new quick filter button named “Rejected” displays in the top upper right portion of the Order Book, that when clicked applies a filter to only show rejected orders. Also as part of this work, in the Order Book Settings you can also customize the row color for rejected orders.

Display Settlement Date for NDFs and Spot FX
  • We now display Settlement Date for NDFs and Spot FX in the appropriate grid widgets, e.g., OB, OFW, Fills, Audit Trail, etc.

This is the third in a series of blog posts on MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II). If you missed the earlier posts, see MiFID II: How Did We Get Here and What Does it Mean? and MiFID II and Algorithmic Trading: What You Need to Know Now.

In this post, we take a look at MiFID II testing implications for investment firms engaged in algorithmic trading and review Trading Technologies’ solutions.

Our latest software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution, the TT® platform, allows customers to benefit from the lowest latency order messaging rates publicly available via an off-the-shelf trading platform. Reducing the number of instructions required to be machine-code translated by compilers and processed by the CPU radically improves time-critical efficiencies. The TT platform achieves much of this high-speed performance via their highly optimized code base and by leveraging proven techniques such as network stack kernel bypass. This combination is applied throughout the critical trading path, from market data ingestions to analytics and trade decision logic and on through to market order access.

As the curtain rises on yet another FIA Expo in TT’s hometown of Chicago, I’m reflecting back on everything that’s transpired since last year’s event. As seems to be the case every Expo, a lot has happened in our little corner of the world at TT.

Most recently, we announced the acquisition of Neurensic, a Chicago start-up that developed a trade surveillance system based on machine learning. The technology, which has its roots in artificial intelligence, is already being used by a handful of our customers. In the most simple terms, it identifies and flags trading activities or patterns that may be viewed as problematic by regulators. It does so before they become an issue, which is something no other trade surveillance product can do today.

There comes a point in a young person’s life when they discover their place in the world. This usually occurs in college where, through a series of experiences, everything comes together and their future becomes clear. Those experiences inspire a student to pursue a calling instead of simply look for a job.

Through our campus outreach program, TT CampusConnect™, we often meet students who are in that place where education becomes inspiration and leads them to their calling.
